i’m a mechanical engineer for three years now, and also had internships…graduated from a good M.E. program. I really think i want to be a patent attorney, because i love technical stuff…but i love to argue too. I really think this will make me a happier person, cause right now i’m not so happy with engineering, i get bored sometimes. i have described ADD also…what you think?
Thats awsome, I’m in Mechanical Engineering at Waterloo, and I plan to go to University of Toronto for law.
How did you study for the patent bar exam? I currently work as a patent examiner in the software arts, is being an attorney better? Is it a pretty secure job?
ADD…absolutely true-every single one of us! Great profession. I love it.
Audio is the best profession in the world.
Hi, I just found your video. I am a EP & French patent attorney myself, and this is so true, especially your ADD remark. This requires such a special mind, and people working in this area must love it before any other consideration or they will be disappointing. Great Video
no way! airline pilots
not only an engineering degree
wats his e-mail
Patent attorneys usually have a laid back job and they stand apart from the average lawyers. Its a neat job I bet.
hey my dad is a patent attorney and I would like to be one. Great video
It is a great career – for Patent Attorneys. People who get into this business for the money are usually disappointed by the work, and the money. Also, malpractice liability is rising, as they make the rules more and more complicated for practitioners. That being said, there are few Registered Patent Attorneys out there, and of those practicing, few know what they are doing. So you can call your own shots, if you don’t let some law firm beat you down…
this was a great one too.. i was laughing when you described the personality.. the ADD. this is exactly why i chose this field, i like to get very deep into topics, and jump from one to another when i’m finished. great job and thanks for sharing your insights!
